Rhyner, Emma (15 AUG 1882 - 2 FEB 1943)
Emma Schneider was born Aug. 15th, 1882 at Freienstein, Canton Zurich, Switzerland. Here she lived and grew to young womanhood. In November 1921, she came to America and on Feb. 13, 1922, was united in marriage with Mr. Werner Rhyner at New Glarus, Wis. They made their home near there until the spring of 1927, when they came to Humbird (Clark Co., Wis.) and bought the farm which has since been their home.
Mrs. Rhyner was a good and kind neighbor and will be sadly missed in her home. Left to mourn her passing are her sorrowing husband; and one sister and one brother in Switzerland.
She was a patient sufferer for the past year and a half, and departed this life at the hospital at Black River Falls on Feb. 2, 1943, having reached the age of 60 years, 5 months and 18 days.
Funeral services were held at St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church Friday afternoon, and wre attended by numerous friends of the deceased. The Rev. N.J. Dechant delivered the sermon, and burial was made in Mentor Cemetery.
