Harry Fristad, who now lives on a farm near Dorchester, was a visitor in town last Sunday.  He reported that John Baumgartner, a former resident here, has recently sold his farm in that vicinity and will retire.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rundle were at Neillsville on a business trip Wednesday.

Six members of the local W.S.C.S., Mrs. Chambers, Mrs. Flood, Mrs. Fowler, Miss Fowler, Mrs. Moore, and Mrs. Olson, attended a district group meeting of the society at Neillsville last Friday.  An excellent program was given.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Klatt returned Monday night from a several days visit with their son and family in Minneapolis.

H.H. Nibbe was here from Red Wing, Minn., Saturday and Sunday.  His daughter, Mrs. Alvin Bryner and baby, returned with him for a visit.

W.W. Cole and wife were over from Alma Center Tuesday.

H.M. Boullion and wife are moving from Fairchild into Mrs. Eva Barmgartner’s house.  Their daughter left the last of last week for Dunham, S.C.

Last Saturday evening, a group of about twenty-five neighbors of Mr. and Mrs. John Stoker, new residents on the Carter farm, gathered at their home for a big welcoming party.  A pleasant evening was spent in cards and social visiting.  A fine lunch closed the evening’s gathering, and all departed for their home, having firmly established Mr. and Mrs. Stoker as members of the community.
