Fox, Linda (10 May 1947 - 23 April 1962)
The end came at long last Monday for Linda Fox.
The 14 year old Willard girl, stricken by the effects of a brain tumor February 5, lost her brave battle for life at 1:30 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where she had undergone surgery February 11.
Throughout her illness, Linda had received the prayers and support of the entire Clark County community as they followed her struggle to survive. "Linda Fox" funds were raised in nearly all sections of the county to help meet the costs of her expensive illness.
Funeral services are scheduled this (Thursday) morning at 11 o’clock from Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Arvid Myhrwold in charge. The body will be taken to Britt, Ia., where services will be held in the Methodist Church, and burial will be made in Evergreen Cemetery.
Linda, an A student and freshman at Greenwood High School, was born May 10, 1947, in Flora City, Ia., to Mr. and Mrs. John Fox. Besides her parents, she is survived by a sister, Anna Louise; four brothers, Randall, Kevin, Michael and Scott; a great-grandmother, Mrs. Christine B. Fox, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fox, all of Britt; and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Louise E. Beck of Glendale, Ariz.
