Lowery, Nellie (8 October 1892 - 5 May 1962)

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton for Mrs. William Lowery 69, who died Saturday afternoon at her home on Rt. 2 Granton.  Layman Henry Elmhorst officiated, and burial was made in the Windfall Cemetery.

Mrs. Lowery, the former Nellie Gobin, was born October 8, 1892, in Sabin.  Her parents died when she was eight months old, and she made her home with the Henry Dary family, who later lived in Granton. She received her education in the Sabin schools.

On November 8, 1914, she was married to William Lowery in Neillsville by Judge Oscar W. Schoengarth.  Mrs. Lowery had made her home near Granton since 1917.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, Charles of Centralia, Wash., Marvin of Eau Claire, and Glenn of Milwaukee; and a daughter, Mrs. Felix (Lola) Krause of Loyal.  Other survivors include 17 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, Sidney Gobin of Thomaston, Conn.; and a sister, Mrs. Beatrice Poleskie of Chicago, Ill.
