Luck, Carl (9 Dec 1831 - 25 Mar 1914)

Carl Luck was born in Germany on Dec. 9, 1831, and died March 25, 1914, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Rupprecht, on North Grand Ave.  He was married 54 years ago and he and his wife came to this country in 1884, locating in Waukesha County.  In 1888 they came to Clark County and settled on a farm in Levis which remained their home until five years ago, when they made their home with Mrs. Rupprecht.  Deceased is survived by his wife and the following children: Aug. and Chas. Luck, Mrs. Henry Gehrt, Mrs. Rupprecht, Mrs. Eggebrecht and Mrs. Daebel of Waukesha.  The funeral was held last Friday afternoon, services being held at St. John’s Lutheran Church.  Deceased was a man who was held in high esteem in this community during the years of his residence and lived to a good old age respected by all.
