High School Notes (30 Apr 1914)

A great mystery surrounds the activity of the Juniors, who are making elaborate preparation for the Junior-Senior banquet to be given Friday evening, May the 1^st.

Alonzo Frank was taken to the hospital in Marshfield Monday, where he underwent an operation for appendicitis.  His many friends are glad to know that he is doing well.

Lean Flint has returned to school after an absence of two weeks on account of illness.  She has been forced to drop a part of her school work.

Monday morning, State Fish and Game Warden D.M. Cranston gave an interesting talk to the pupils of all the grades from the 4^th up and the high school in the assembly room on the conversation of the wild life that is beneficial to man.  A great many species of birds and animals have become practically extinct in this state through their needless slaughter for amusement or profit.  Mr. Cranston called to the notice of the amateur sportsmen that the killing of much game is not prohibited by statue, both state and federal.
