Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Klassy and baby from New Glarus, visited her mother, Mrs. R. Trachsel, and at the home of her sister, Mrs. Will Theiler, and brother, Fred Trachsel, last week.

 

Rev. Robert Short arrived from Chicago the last of the week, and left with his wife and their three children Tuesday for Wessington Springs, S.D.  Rev. Short will be a member of the college faculty this year.

 

Ulysses Stuve, who had been employed on a passenger boat out of Chicago, came home Wednesday morning for a short stay.  The boat is laid up for the season, and he expects to return to the freight service as long as lake navigation is open.

 

Mrs. Howard Pierce, who has been in Kansas with her husband, who is in training camp, returned home last of the week.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Leon Wright of Altoona, her mother, Mrs. Schufer of Fairchild, and also Mrs. Shoemaker and her daughter and son of Fairchild, spent Monday visiting the old home farms of the Wrights and Schufers in Cleveland (Jackson Co.).  They also called in the village on H.M. Boullion.  Mrs. Schufer is an aunt of Mr. B.
