Michaletz, Winifred (26 NOV 1943)

Miss Winifred Michaletz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Michaletz of Minneapolis, formerly of Humbird (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of S2C Daniel Stimmler, U.S. Navy, on Nov. 26, 1943, at 5:30 in the afternoon.  The wedding took place at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, with the Rev. O. G. Schupman reading the double ring ceremony.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and wore a white brocaded satin gown with a sweetheart neckline and full gathered skirt that was fashioned into a long train.  She wore a fingertip veil and carried a bouquet of pale yellow carnations.  Her only jewelry was a white pearl necklace.

The bridesmaid, Mrs. Don Arnoldy, also of Minneapolis, a friend of the bride and groom, was attired in a floor length aqua satin gown and wore a corsage of roses and chrysanthemums.

The groom wore his dress uniform of navy blue and was attended by Raymond Michaletz, brother of the bride, who was also dressed in navy blue.  Both wore white carnation boutonnieres.

The bride’s mother wore medium blue with a corsage of pink carnations and chrysanthemums, and the groom’s mother was dressed in lavender, also wore a corage of pale yellow carnations and chrysanthemums.

A reception for the wedding party and immediate relatives was held at the home of the bride after the ceremony.

The bride attended our school when the family resided here, and will be remembered by her former schoolmates.  The groom is stationed at Navy Pier, Chicago.  He entered the service some over a year ago.
