Mack, Mary Ann (Marriage - 19 May 1962)
St. James Catholic Church was the setting for the wedding Satruday of Mary Ann Mack to Donald L. Kanter, both of Milwaukee. The Rev. John Kolankz officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Mack of Rt. 2, Neillsville, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Kanter of Milwaukee.
The bride was given by her father. She was attired in a delustered satin gown with a re-embroidered Alencon lace with an oval neckline. The front panel of her skirt was outlined with Alencon motifs, and had a brush train and long, pointed sleeves.
Beverly Mack, sister, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Karen Mack, Barbara Iverson and Beverly Matousek. Tom Drefhal was bestman, and Tom Mack, Bill Lyman and John Lyman were groomsmen.
The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore identical dresses of pink satin. The bride’s mother wore a rose beige dress; the groom’s a blue suit. Both carried white roses.
Janice Mack, sister-in-law of the bride, was the soloist.
The church decorations were white gladioli.
Approximately 375 people attended the service and reception.
The bridal couple is on a wedding trip to Florida and will be at home after June 1, at 5603 Berry Court, Greendale.
The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School class of 1957, and the groom of Greenfield High School. He is employed in Milwaukee.
Out of city guests included: Mrs. John Kalina of Phillips, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Janicki of Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Neville of Madison, Mrs. Irene Smid of Chicago and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Gutenberger of Christie.
