Hainz, David (98^th Birthday - 1962)

Two men, believed to be Clark County’s oldest residents, recently celebrated their birthdays.

Frank Kurtinitis, who has been a patient in an old folks home in Neillsville since the summer of 1945, has just celebrated his 99^th birthday; and David Hainz, who lives with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hainz in the Town of Grant, has celebrated his 98^th birthday.

Mr. Hainz was born in Jefferson and came to the Town of Grant in 1904, where he purchased a 100 acre farm.  His wife died in 1917.  They had 10 children, of whom seven are living.  They are: Frank and Lawrence of Milwaukee; Leo of California; Ed of Grant; Otto of Pine Valley; Mrs. Jacob (Sarah) Schmidt of Pine Valley; and Mrs. Kurt (Leona) Janisch of the Town of Grant.
