Hardrath, Sally Lou (Marriage - 26 May 1962)

Sally Lou Hardrath, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harley Hardrath of Rt. 1, Owen, became the bride of Jerome Peter Weiler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Weiler of Rt. 2, Colby, at ceremonies performed by the Rev. John Pinon in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby last Satruday morning.

The bride was given by her father in a double-ring ceremony performed before an altar banked with summer flowers.  She wore a ballerina-length gown of Chantilly bridal lace with scalloped portrait neckline and trimmed with sequins. A Basque bodice, long sleeves and a bouffant skirt completed the appointments.  Her veil of chapel-length silk illusion was held by a tiara accented with pearls and sequins, and she carried a bouquet of red roses and white pompons, tied with a satin ribbon.

Mrs. Gary Weiler was her matron of honor, and Mr. Weiler served as bestman.

A reception for 250 guests was held following the ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents.  The house was decorated with summer flowers and green and white paper bells.

Immediately after the reception the couple left on a honeymoon to an undisclosed destination. They will be at home at 4804 21st Avenue, Kenosha on their return.

The bride is a graduate of Owen-Withee High School and has been employed as a secretary in a loan company in Minneapolis, Minn.  The groom, a graduate of Colby High School, is employed by American Motors Corp. in Kenosha.

Guests attended from Athens, Medford, Wausau, Brookfield, Ill., Minneapolis, Eau Claire, Kenosha, Thorp, Ashland and Stevens Point.
