Sveinsson, Simon K. "Sam" (25 JUN 1943 - 15 JUN 2011)

LOYAL -- Simon K. "Sam" Sveinsson, 67, of Loyal, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church Monday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

Simon Kelly Sveinsson was born June 25, 1943, in Elmhurst, Ill., the son of Kelly and Beatrice (Langlois) Sveinsson. He was united in marriage to Marilyn W. Stone at the Episcopal Church in Elmhurst, on July 25, 1970. They resided in Elmhurst and Sam worked as a dispatcher for the Elmhurst Fire Department. He later was employed as a salesperson for Xerox Corp. They moved to Loyal in 1981. Marilyn preceded him in death Nov. 28, 2001.

Sam is survived by two sisters, Olive (Walter) Reading of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Joan Sanders of Rockford, Ill.
