Drager Benite A. (8 JUN 1944)
On Thursday, June 8th, 1944, at 6:30 p.m., three hundred friends and relatives witnessed the marriage ceremony in the First Evangelical Church in St. Paul, of Miss Benite Arlene Drager, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benj. Drager of St. Paul. The groom of this happy wedding was Mr. Ivan Duerkop, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest J. Duerkop of the town of Cleveland (Jackson Co., Wis.). The Rev. R.G. Hall of Pine Ridge, S.D., a cousin of the bride, pronounced the nuptial vows. A reception followed in the church parlors, at which the happy young couple received many beautiful gifts. A reception party was given at the groom’s parents’ home to nearly two hundred friends, last Sunday, June 11th, and again they received many useful gifts.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Duerkop, and their son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Duerkop, went to St. Paul to attend the wedding and church reception.
