Dupont, John (1893? - 21 JUN 1944)
All friends and acquaintances were grieved Wednesday forenoon when word was passed that John Dupont, lifelong resident of the town of Cleveland (Jackson Co., Wis.), had taken his life by hanging. He had gone to the pasture after the cows about 5:00 a.m., and when he did not return and the cows came straggling to the barn, a search was started. The body was found hanging from a tree in the woods. The family resided on the Smith farm, which was purchased last year. A wife and a number of children survive. One son is in the service.
