Knoll, Janet Gayle (Marriage - 30 June 1962)
Miss Janet Gayle Knoll, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Knoll, Rt. 2, Colby, exchanged wedding vows Satruday with Norman H. Schmidt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Schmidt, Loyal area. The Rev. B. F. Matter performed the double ring ceremony in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Riplinger.
The bride was attired in a traditional white gown. She carried a bridal bouquet of red roses, white stephanotis centered with a large white orchid. Streamers, attached with rosebuds, cascaded from the bouquet.
Mrs. Donald Newman, Unity, attended the bride as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Jane Ewald, Unity, and Miss JoAnn Hium, Greenwood.
Donald Newman was bestman. Groomsmen were Gerald Gottschalk, East Moline, Ill., and Kenneth Schmidt, Loyal. Ushers were LaVerne Knoll, Marshfield and George Brenner, Loyal.
David Newman served as ring bearer, carrying the rings on a white satin pillow. Debra Ewald was flower girl.
Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt will reside in Loyal on their return from a wedding trip to Yellowstone National Park. Mr. Schmidt is an employee of the Clark County Highway Department.
