Vanden Berk, Rita (Marriage - 30 June 1962)
Wedding vows were repeated Satruday in the Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly at a solemn nuptial High mass uniting in marriage Miss Rita Vanden Berk, 127 S. Pine St. Kimberly and Gerald L. Svetlik, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Svetlik, 1006 Hewett St. Neillsville. The Rev. Fr. Joseph Kools performed the double ring ceremony.
Cornelius Boelhower gave his niece in marriage.
Mrs. Milton Marasch, a friend from Madison, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Jeanne Svetlik, sister of the groom, Neillsville, and Miss Susan Mongin, Kaukauna, a friend.
Attending the groom as bestman was a brother-in-law of the bride, Milton Kreutzberg of Greenville. Groomsmen were Bernard Vanden Berk, Kimberly, brother of the bride, and Daniel Verstegen a friend from Little Chute, Thomas Vanden Berk, and David Svetlik, Neillsville were the ushers. Junior male attendant was Alan Svetlik of Neillsville, brother of the groom.
A dinner was served at noon in the Holy Name School Cafeteria and from 2 to 4 p.m. a reception was held.
Mr. and Mrs. Svetlik have left on a short wedding rip to Michigan and on their return will reside at 209 Reid St., West DePere.
Mrs. Svetlik is a graduate of the Kimberly High School and has a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Norbert College. She is a member of the Kappa Phi Delta Sorority. Mr. Svetlik, a graduate of the Neillsville High School, will receive his Bachelor of Science degree July 28 from St. Norbert College. He is affiliated with the Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity and will enter the Navy as an O. C. S. candidate in August at Newport, R. I.
