Winner, Paul C. (1891? - 6 JAN 1945)
Friends were shocked by the sudden death of Paul C. Winner, which occurred in Chicago last Saturday. He was stricken with a heart attack while riding in a taxi and died in an ambulance on the way to a hospital. He was 53 years of age. For many years he had been active in public affairs in Madison. At the time of his death he was employed as director of the sales department of Stock Grow Co. of Marshfield, with headquarters in Chicago. Surviving are his wife, a son, 1st Lt. J.D. Winner, Ft. Benning, Ga.; a daughter, Betty, at home; a sister, Mrs. Mae Hyre, Appleton; and a brother, Dr. harry Winner, Watford City, N.D. Burial services were held at Madison Tuesday afternoon.
Mr. Winner was a frequent visitor during the years of his parents’ residency here (Humbird, Clark Co., Wis.). His last visit was in September just previous to the burial service for his mother at Black River Falls.
