Neillsville High School (50th Reunion - 1962)
The first part of this reunion was not on my copy: Hubing, Circle, Mont.; Pearl Brooks, Fresno, Calif.; Mrs. Austin (Dorothy Martin) Petersen, Milwaukee.
Class members unable to attend included: Mrs. Carl (Leona Albright) Shenk, St. Paul; Mrs. Carl (Clara Korman) Burle, St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. Edgar (Grace Woodcock) Nachtrab, Sheboygan; George Wildish, Miles City, Mont.; and Aletta Johnson, Neillsville.
Eight have died:
The class of 1912 had 12 boys and 12 girls of whom 12 lived in the city of Neillsville and 12 lived in the country. George M. Snodgrass was the supervising principal during that period. The Hon. Spence Marsh, a member of the school board, presented the diplomas.
Of the 24 original members, eight are deceased. Of the eight, seven of the group was men. The deceased members are: Hadie Beeckler, Frank Anderson, Ben Brown, Donald Crothers, Maurel Rabenstein, Leo Root, Frank Wood, and Ira Slocomb.
The class of 1912 attended the fist six grades of grade school in the old grade building. The seventh and eighth grades were conducted in the high school in the room later used for the high school library. The group also attended the four high school years (balance of the article is missing on my copy).
