Hanson, Mr. and Mrs. William (Golden - 24 July 1962)
Relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. William Hanson of Greenwood attended an open house held Sunday, July 22, in Marathon Park, Wausau. Their children honored them on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and also honored their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. George Fulmer of Athens, on their 55th wedding anniversary, which occurred July 31. Mrs. Fulmer, the former Caroline Jones, is a sister of Mrs. Hanson.
William Hanson, the son of the late Fred Hansons of Athens, and his wife, the former Agnes Jones, were married July 24, 1912. Their six children are Myron Hanson, Rib Lake; Mrs. Wilma Blumenkamp, Wausau; Mrs. Carol Koepke, Birnamwood; Robert Hanson, Eagle River; Arthur Hanson, Menomonie; and Mrs. Ethel Lindner, Greenwood. Mr. Hanson is the only one living of the Hanson family of seven.
Mrs. Hanson’s family are Mrs. George (Caroline) Fulmer of Athens; a half brother, Alvin Gruenewald of Lake Bluff, Ill., a professor at Northwestern Dental College, Rockford, Ill.; two step-sisters, Mrs. Ole (Margaret) Fladvid and Mrs. Anna Clothier of Milwaukee.
The Hansons have 15 grandchildren.
