Buddenhagen, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer (Golden - July 1962)
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Buddenhagen of Neillsville observed their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, July 27. They were married in Detroit, Mich., and came immediately to Clark County, making their home four years with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Buddenhagen, in Pine Valley north of Neillsville.
In 1916 they purchased the Ed Remus farm, on which the Carlyle school is located, where they lived and farmed 26 years. They moved to Neillsville in 1942 and have since resided at their home at 3 Grand Avenue.
Mrs. Buddenhagen is the former Amelia Duge, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Duge of the Town of Grant, Clark County. Mr. and Mrs. Buddenhagen have one son, Leland, and three grandchildren, Sandra, Lola and Byrl Buddenhagen, of the Town of Grant.
Mr. Buddenhagen has been very active in community affairs and served many years as a director of the Clark County Agricultural society, which operates the county fair, of which he was once president. He has served on the Clark County Board from Levis 13 years and now from Neillsville.
