Dunn, Lois O. (23 OCT 1874 - 18 MAY 1945)
Lois Olive Terrell, daughter of George and Frances (Sperry) Terrell, was born on a farm in the town of Cleveland, Jackson County, Oct. 23, 1874, and passed away at the home of her nephew, Hugh Terrell, in Humbird (Clark Co., Wis.), Friday morning, May 18, 1945, at the age of 70 years, 6 months and 25 days..
For several years she was a teacher in the rural schools of Jackson County. And on Dec. 31, 1913, she was united in marriage with Mr. Etsel Dunn, who preceded her in death four years ago.
She spent all of her life on the farm in the town of Cleveland, excepting the last three years, which were spent in Humbird, making her home with her nephew, Hugh Terrell, and family, owing to failing health. Mrs. Dunn had been ill and confined to her bed since early last fall.
After the death of her brother George, who resided with her on the farm, three years ago, she moved to town. Mrs. Dunn was one of a family of six brothers and two sisters, of whom only one brother survives, Orren Terrell of Alma Center. Three nieces and three nephews and a number of other relatives, besides many friends, also mourn her death.
Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist Church at 2:00 o’clock Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Waters sang, "Home Over There," "Going Down the Valley," and "Rock of Ages," with Miss Simons accompanist.
Rev. Frederick J. Smith of the Augusta church, delivered the burial sermon from the text Psalm 107:30, "So he bringeth them unto their desired have." Interment was in Houghtonburg Cemetery.
