Aumann, Doreen (Marriage - 11 August 1962)
Wedding vows were repeated August 11 by Miss Doreen Aumann, Loyal, and A. Patrick Mrotek, River Falls, in a nuptial high mass performed by the Rev. Fr. Norbert E. King in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal. The parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Henry Aumann, Sr. of Loyal, and Mr. and Mrs. Alex Mrotek of Owen.
The bride was attired in a white hand clipped lace and tulle floor length gown with full bouffant skirt detailed by alternating tiers of lace and pleated tulle and the back tiers flowing into a chapel train. The fitted Basque bodice was styled with a Sabrina neckline and long, tapered lace sleeves. A taffeta and lace headpiece, outlined with pearls, was encircled with a veil of silk illusion.
She carried a bridal bouquet of red roses in a cascade arrangement with a shower of white ribbons with rose buds attached. She presented a bouquet of white carnations to the Blessed Virgin.
Her attendants were Caroline Miller as maid of honor; Joyce Major, Jeanette Bentzler and Carol Mrotek as bridesmaids.
The groom’s best man was his brother, Claire Mrotek of Rochester, Minn. Groomsmen were Harold Bentzler, Sr., Gene Major and Raymond Miller. Ushers were Louis Aumann, Butler, and John Mrotek of Greenbelt, Md.
Brunch was served in the parish hall with a reception held at the home of the bride and a dinner was served later in the church basement.
Mr. and Mrs. Mrotek are both graduates of the Loyal High School. She has been employed by the J. C. Penney Co., in Minneapolis, Minn. Mr. Mrotek is a student at Wisconsin State College in River Falls. They will reside at 210 N Main, River Falls.
