Mr. and Mrs. Gary Abel and three children, Racine, formerly of Neillsville, spent the weekend at the Adolph Abel home in Greenwood. They were accompanied to Neillsville by Tim Dunn, who spent the weekend with his wife and daughter at the Harry Carl home.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bernatz and two children of Racine were weekend guests of Mrs. Bernatz’ grandparents Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Benson. Mr. and Mrs. Bernatz and children are leaving soon to make their home in Sidney, Australia. Mr. Bernatz is engaged in foreign trade with J. I. Case Co.
Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Botnen spent the weekend in Antigo with the Eugene Trimberger family. Mr. Botnen and Mr. Trimberger spent part of the time bear hunting in Michigan.
Mrs. Ted Peterson, Madison, district supervisor for county home agents, was in Neillsville a few days last week for conferences with Home Agent Judy Berget and County Agent John Oncken. She was a house guest of Miss Bernadine Peterson at the B. H. Peterson home.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Prosa enroute to their home in Deerfield were Sunday overnight guests at the Albert Marks home. They had been in Minneapolis and Princeton, Minn., visiting relatives. The Prosas are formerly from south of Neillsville.
Mrs. Gusta Storm of Sheboygan visited three days last week with her sisters, Mrs. Kalsow and Mrs. Ida Wasserburger.
Mr. and Mrs. Orin Ganke (Janke) and children, Humbird, were Sunday evening guests at the Wilmer Lueck home.
Mr. and Mrs. Swieso and family, Burlington, were Saturday afternoon and supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Thiede, near Granton.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Erickson and Mr. and Mrs. George Erickson and children spent a few days last week at Mackinac Island. Enroute home they visited Mr. and Mrs. Jack True and family in Clintonville. Mrs. True is the former Mildred Erickson.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Metcalf were Friday supper guests at the Lewis Kaudy home in Greenwood.
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Wagner of Black River Falls visited here last weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry O’Brien of Milwaukee visited last weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Prock.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Urban and Mr. and Mrs. Francis Laatsch drove to Minocqua Sunday and took in a water show.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Maxon of Bay City, Mich., were recent visitors at the Raymond Zipfel home.
Mr. and Mrs. Gavin Upton and children were weekend visitors at the Albert Sollberger home.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wren are spending a week with their daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Polzin in Racine. They attended the marriage there Saturday of their grandson, Marvin Polzin.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Zager and family of Thorp were weekend guests at the Albert Holt home.
Mrs. Oluf Olson spent last week visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Dorn in Abbotsford and her sister, Mrs. Fred Olson, in Stratford. She returned Saturday with her daughter, Mrs. Ellen Johnson of Wausau.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rothenburger and children of Madison are spending two weeks at the Carl Rothenburger home.
June Rothenburger visited friends in Marshfield Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Voigtlander of Beaver Dam were weekend guests at the Milo Reese home.
Mrs. Robert Lechner and children of Waukegan, Ill., visited several days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Schultz and family.
David Temte has been visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Temte.
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Lockhart of Eau Claire were weekend visitors at the Jacob Hoesly home.
Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Long of Des Moines, Ia., were weekend guests at the Elmer Meyer home. Boyd Meyer, who is employed in Rochelle, Ill., spent last weekend at home.
Mr. and Mrs. Buford Wilding and children of Milwaukee visited last weekend with their parents, Arthur Wilding in Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. William Zell in Eaton Center.
