Kelly, Thomas (24 September 1896 - 18 September 1962)
Funeral services were conducted Friday from the Georgas Funeral Home for Thomas Kelly, 66, a former area resident, who died September 18, in Owen. The Rev. Lloyd Mauer of the Methodist Church officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Raymond Northup, Franklin Reindel, Rex Krejci, Arthur Kotchy, Charles Kupka and George Krause. Two hymns, "What a Friend we have in Jesus" and "Abide with Me," were sung by Wilfred B. Galstad, accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.
Mr. Kelly was born September 24, 1896, in Juneau County and after coming to this community worked at various jobs. He never married.
He is survived by two brothers, John of Neillsville, and William of San Francisco., Cal.; two step-sisters, Miss Gladys Parrett and Mrs. Clarence (Nina) Bardell, both of Neillsville; four step-brothers, Tim Parrett, Juneau County, Clifford Parrett, Wisconsin Rapids, Raymond Parrett, Waukegan, Ill., and Jack Parrett, Adell.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gallagher of Granton attended the services.
