GRANTON BOY KILLED UNDER FALLING LIMB
Chris Witt, woods foreman for the Roddis Lumber and Veneer Company, returned from Granton last Saturday where he had been buying logs. He says that on the day previous the 15 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Garbish was almost instantly kiled and his father seriously injured by a large limb falling on them. The two were in the woods after a load of logs and returning home a broken limb that had become fastened in a tree top was shaken loose by the wind and fell upon their heads. There was no warning or chance to escape. The boy, the only son in the family, was much worse hit and perhaps never knew what struck him. The father will recover but was nevertheless severely injured.
