STANLEY MAN CUT IN TWO BY CIRCULAR SAW

Joseph Haase of Stanley while operating a portable saw mill on Thursday of last week on the farm of Eric Johnson in the town of Worden, met with instant death by being cut in two by a large circular saw used in the mill.  He was in the act of oiling the machinery which was in motion and while engaged his foot slipped and he fell against the saw.  Before the machinery could be brought to a stop, the body of the unfortunate man was cut in two, and death was instantaneous.  Deceased was forty years of age and unmarried.  He leaves a mother and one brother, Paul Haase, both residing in the town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.).
