This old time post card was sent to the Thorp Courier, Thorp, Wis. by Dean Micke Stanley. Considering the house next door, it appears that this was a small family-run business. The unique smoke stack on the left matches up with the photo below which is known to be the Cloverleaf Cheese Factory.

Around the 1916, this Cloverleaf Cheese Factory (pictured above) stood southwest of Thorp in the township of Worden and was submitted to the Thorp Courier office by Gordon Qualheim of Route 3, Stanley. Matthew Meyer was the cheesemaker at the plant when this photo was shot "Way Back When". Thorp Courier, 1979
