Ramker, Sammy Sr. (March 5, 1946 - June 26, 2011)
Sammy Ramker Sr., age 65, of the town of Pelican, died Sunday, June 26, 2011, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 5, 1946, in Marshfield, the son of Max and Bonnie
(Voelker) Ramker. He attended schools in Colby.
On March 4, 1996, he married Teresa Wozniczka in Rhinelander. He was in the bar business for 23 years. He enjoyed hunting, camping, boating, and going to the Hodag Country Fest. His grandkids were everything to him along with spending time with family and friends.
Sammy is survived by his wife, Teresa; his children, Lynn (Doug
Tresness) Wojnowski, Maria (David ) Penn, Sammy Jr. (Kelly) Ramker,
Cindi Sue Ramker, Cheri Ramker, Brenda (Mike) Luce, Steven (Paula)
Quade, Bobbi Jo (Jesse Everson) Fischer, Andy Quade; his siblings,
Sandy Asplund, Mary (Dan) Lewis, Mike (Linda) Ramker, Debbie (Mel)
Kurszewski, Dan (Carrie) Ramker, Dawn (Craig) Lieders, Johnny
(Jenny) Ramker; his father, Max; 16 grandchildren; 3
great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his dog,
Tiny.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
A celebration of Sammy’s life will be held at Sammy
Jr’s Bar at 801 Coon St, Rhinelander on Wednesday, June 29,
2011, at 1 p.m. Rhinelander’s Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home
