Voigt, Mr. and Mrs. Gust (51st - 28 September 1962)
Mr. and Mrs. Alan Voigt and family of Neillsville, Dr. and Mrs. O. R. Klemme and family of Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. Gust Voigt of Loyal gathered at the home of James Voigt, Saturday evening to celebrate the 51st wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Voigt.
Gust Voigt and Elizabeth Lucht were married in Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal September 28, 1911, with Rev. E. Kemena officiating. Following their marriage, the Voigts lived in Spokeville five year, in the village of Loyal 11 years and since that time in the Town of Sherman.
Mr. Voigt was born in Calumet County, January 31, 1884. Following his early education, he became a cheesemaker. He has been active in community and township public affairs and served on the Taft district school board 10 years.
Mrs. Voigt was born in Marathon County, March 1, 1890.
They have three children: Alan of Neillsville; James of the Town of Sherman; and Mrs. Sophia Klemme of Stratford. They also have seven grandchildren.
