A Town Treasurer Suicides.
Neillsville, Wis., April 5 - Carl Worchel, treasurer of the town of Grant, Clark County, has committed suicide by shooting himself. He had been drinking heavily and was found by the town board to be $700 short in his accounts.

Town treasurer Worchel of the town of Grant, Clark County, committed suicide last Thursday night by shooting himself through the heart with a 52 caliber revolver. Upon investigation it was found that he was some $700 short in his accounts as treasurer of the town. He was highly respected and the rash act is a great surprise to his neighbors and friends.
