Beil, Adolph W. (10 April 1879 - 7 October 1962)
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Christ Lutheran Church in Chili for Adolph W. Beil, 83, of Rt. 1, Chili, who died Sunday morning in Calumet memorial Hospital, Chilton. The Rev. L. E. Schreiber officiated. Burial was made in Yolo cemetery, Town of Fremont. Mr. Beil died following a heart attack while on a vacation trip.
Mr. Beil was born April 10, 1879, in the Town of Rantoul, Calumet County. He attended schools in Sheboygan and Calumet counties. On November 14, 1906, he was married to the former Laura Schlinsog in the Mapleworks Lutheran Church at Granton. They lived in Lynn for five years, where he was a painter and decorator. In July 1911, they moved to the Town of Fremont, where they had lived since.
He was a member of the town board for 20 years; served as a director of the Chili Cooperative cheese factory for 25 years; and was a member of the school board for 12 years. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Chili.
Mr. Beil is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Harold (Hilda) Montag of Chili, Mrs. Gerald (Esther) Dankemyer, of Neillsville, and Mrs. Lyle (Hazel) Doehr of Spencer; a son, Arwin, of Chili; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He also is survived by a brother, Paul of Chili; and a sister, Mrs. Lydia Wuertz of Cotter.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton.
