Geo. W. Purnell, secretary of Merrillan’s newly organized commercial club, was a business visitor in the village one day the first of the week.
Mrs. Lucille A. Feltmeyer directs change of their address from Stockton, Ill., to 407 ½ Main St., Savanna, where they expect to be permanently located.
Friends of Mrs. C.D. Fowler called at her home Wednesday of last week, the occasion being her eighty-first birthday. She was pleasantly surprised by having her daughter-in-law, Mrs. M.V. Jenness of Minneapolis come unexpectedly to help her celebrate and to spend the remainder of the week.
Miss Barbara Johnson has enrolled in the state teachers college in La Crosse.
S-Sgt. Abram Fradenburg, who was in Europe over two years with a medical outfit, arrived here Monday noon, on the way to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Fradenburg, at Willard. Abram has received his discharge from the service.
