Mr. and Mrs. Armand Krueger, son Allen, and father, Ira Sherwin, were weekend visitors at Algoma.

 

Misses Ruth Kelsh and Barbara Johnson were home from La Crosse Teachers College for the Easter recess.

 

The Houghtonburg Cemetery Assoc. will hold its annual meeting next Tuesday evening, April 30, at the home of Mrs. Chas. Dunlap.

 

Arvid Anderson and wife are making a visit with his parents here and at the home of her people in Fairchild.  Mr. Anderson received his discharge from the army service on April 12.

 

Mr. and Mrs. S.R. Newton attended the baptism of their little grandson at the Methodist Church in Alma Center Easter Sunday forenoon and spent the afternoon at the Thane Joos home.

 

Wayland Waters, who has been spending a few weeks at home since his retirement from the navy, left Sunday noon for a visit with his sister and husband, Mrs. and Mrs. C.A. Moos at Oxford, Ohio.  He expects to go from there on a trip to Detroit and also to New York.

 

Miss Madge Flynn, who spent the winter months in Phoenix, Ariz., arrived home Friday to visit a week before returning to her work at Devi-Baraboo Resort at Baraboo.  She also visited relatives in Los Angeles, and took a sight-seeing trip into Old Mexico.
