Locals

 

Miss Pearl Jens was an Eau Claire visitor Friday.

 

Frank Kraut and Wm. Klessig were Medford Visitors Sunday.

 

Sheriff Wm. Bradford of Neillsville was a caller in Curtiss Tuesday.

 

Mr. F. F. Machlet visited Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. H. Machlett.

 

The Helping Hand Society will meet Friday, Jan 30th at the home of Mrs. F. W. Laabs. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Morgan of Unity were callers at the R.H. Morgan home Saturday evening.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Bublitz and family spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Emery Neitzel.

 

Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson attended the show at the Avon theatre in Medford Sunday evening. 

 

Mrs. John Lokken and son Arthur Lee called at the Emery Neitzel home Wednesday afternoon. 

 

C. W. Adams of Hancock, and M. L. Adams of Abbotsford were business callers in Curtiss Tuesday. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Schorer and son Norman of Abbotsford, spent Sunday evening at the Harry Jens home. 

 

Rev. and Mrs. Wm. Anderson left Thursday for Minnesota where they were called by the death of Mr. Anderson’s grandfather. 

 

Fred Machlett went to Menomonee Sunday where he attended a convention of the O & N Lumber Company managers the first of the week. 

 

Mrs. A. M. Erickson entertained the "500" club Friday evening. First prize went to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Laabs and consolation prize to F. H. Matthias and Mrs. Ralph Green. 

 

George Hoff of Curtiss and E. R. Erickson of Dorchester, popular hardware dealers in the respective towns, went to Duluth Sunday evening to attend a convention of the dealers of the Marshall-Wells Hardware Company.

 

John Sorlin, who recently underwent an operation at the LeGault hospital at Owen, returned home Wednesday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kraut and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hennlich attended the "Passion Play," at Eau Claire one evening last week.

 

Several friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Johnson Thursday evening to help Mr. Johnson celebrate his birthday. 

 

 

Men, you will be well dressed if you wear overalls and work shirt at the Hard Time dance on Friday evening January 30th at the Abbotsford Armory.
