Perme, Joseph (20 June 1873 - 20 October 1962)
Joseph Perme, 89, of Willard, died at his home Saturday. He had been ill for several years.
Mr. Perme was born June 20, 1873, in Yugoslavia. He came to the United States at the age of 22 years, and settled at Ely, Minn., where he was married 60 years ago to Mary Kophverizetz. They lived in Duluth, Minn., until they came to Willard in 1916 and settled on a farm. They retired 13 years ago and moved into Willard.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Edward (Mary) Steblay of San Bernardino, Calif., Mrs. Anthony (Molly) Prebil of Willard, and Mrs. Christine Kunkel of Milwaukee; and three sons, John of Willard, Joseph of Sacramento, Calif., and Frank of Minneapolis, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Hill Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. from Holy Family Catholic Church, with The Rev. Sylvester Mirko officiating. Burial was made in the Holy Family cemetery.
