Earl Pierce was over from the county seat Tuesday on matters of business and calling on friends.
Mrs. John Olson of Black River Falls, spent Tuesday with Mrs. Lon Cook.
Mr. and Mrs. Mahlon Houghton of Beloit, were ehre on business and visiting friends Tuesday and Wednesday.
Master James Trachsel is recuperating from a tonsillectomy at the Krohn Clinic last Thursday.
While Mrs. J. Art Johnson was returning home from a trip, her car was badly damaged and ditched in a rear collision on Highway 53, about five miles north of Chippewa Falls, about dusk a week ago Friday afternoon. With mrs. Johnson in the car were her sister, Mrs. Schultz of Augusta, and Miss Eula Briggs. All were shake up by the bump from the car and Mrs. Schultz required surgical care for cuts received. The gentleman driving a Packard that crashed into the Johnson car, claimed he was blinded by approaching cars on which the lights were not dimmer.
