Tyler, James (1925? - 25 JAN 1947)
When the car in which he was a passenger struck an embankment on Highway 53 between Foster and Backett last Saturday afternoon, James Tyler, an ex-service man, aged 21 years, received injuries from which he died a few minutes after the accident. The deceased was riding to Eau Claire with Murrell Nelson of Osseo, to bring the latter’s father there for over Sunday. The father of the young man, Ralph Tyler, lives in Eau Claire and he had been making his home with his grandmother, Mrs. Ida Boatman in Osseo. His mother is Mrs. Gilman Nelson, one of the new residents on the Alfred Boullion farm at Fairvie.
Funeral services were held at the Congregational Church in Osseo Tuesday afternoon, under the auspices of Carl Nelson post of the American Legion of Osseo, of which the young man was a member, and interment was in the east Side Cemetery at Augusta.
