Finder, William Fred (7 March 1891 - 21 November 1962)

 

Funeral services were conducted Saturday from the Georgas Funeral home for William Fred Finder, 71, of Neillsville, who died November 21.  The Rev. Lloyd Mauer of the Methodist Church officiated.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Mr. Finder was born March 7, 1891, in Dane County.  He was the son of the late Louis and Cecelia (Kazenbach) Finder.  He came to Clark County with his parents in 1903.  The family located on a farm in the Town of Weston, where he attended rural school.

 

On April 29, 1918, he entered the army and was stationed at Camp Bowie, Tex.  He received his discharge on December 5, 1918.  Following his release he returned to Neillsville and worked in saw mills and also did farm work.

 

He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Meske, Cecelia and Bertha Finder, all of Neillsville; and two brothers, Fred and August Finder, both of Neillsville.

 

Pallbearers were: Guy Schultz, Ervin Holub, Arthur Ehlers, Walter Koslowsky, Lester Finder and Walter Finder.

 

Those from away here for the services were Mrs. Ben Grottke and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jakobi, Marshfield
