Greenwood Locals (29 November 1962)

 

Mrs. Hugh Severson, Mrs. Henry Keiner, Mrs. John Susa, Jr., and daughters, Luann and Linda, visited in Marshfield Saturday.

 

Miss Nellie Sharp, who teaches in Glenwood City, spent the Thanksgiving vacation with her sister, Mrs. Fred Clintsman, and family.

 

Relatives entertained Thanksgiving Day at the Herbert Horn home were: Mr. and Mrs. Norman Horn of Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Stanke, Judy and Dennis, of Neenah; Mr. and Mrs. Gus Horn, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Richmond and Roe Caryl, and Mr. and Mrs. Jerrold Richmond, Wayne and Susan.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Austin Mason of Minneapolis spent Wednesday night here.  Thursday morning they were accompanied to Milwaukee by his grandmother, Mrs. Alma Mason.  Mrs. Mason will attend the wedding of her grandson, Dale Mason, at Milwaukee Saturday; and will spend a week with relatives in Madison before returning.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Julius Klapatauskas visited relatives in Milwaukee and Chicago last weekend.

 

Mrs. Theodore Krei, who was a patient in a Rochester, Minn., hospital, has returned home.

 

Jon Schendel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Schendel, and Tom Boe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Boe, returned to Madison Sunday, where they attend the university, after spending the weekend hunting here.  Young Schendel got his buck Saturday morning near Pray.

 

Kathryn Rae Fravert, infant daughter of Mr. and Mars. LeRoy Fravert was baptized by the Rev. Orval Egbert at the Sunday morning worship service at the Immanuel United Church.

 

During another recent baptismal service at Immanuel United Church, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Gruber received the name John Thomas. The Rev. Mr. Egbert officiated.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Adams and daughters, Carol and Janice, and her mother, Mrs. Carl Stabnow, attended the third birthday celebration dinner for Christi Syth, held Sunday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Syth, in Loyal.

 

Mr. and Mrs. John D. Wuethrich and daughter, Diane, and his mother, Mrs. John Wuethrich, went to Rio Sunday, where they attended the 25th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Wuethrich.

 

The Birthday club met Monday evening at the home of Mrs. A. C. Buker, with Mrs. Cyril Buker as hostess. Cards were played, following a dinner.  Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Fred Behrens, Mrs. Albert Neuenfeldt, Mrs. A. C. Buker and Mrs. William Steiger.

 

Mr. and Mrs. William Kuester and daughter, who spent several days with relatives in Sheboygan and Manitowoc, have returned home.
