Lawrence, Beulah M. (16 July 1897 –30 November 1962)
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in Platteville for Miss Beulah M. Lawrence, 65, of Platteville and a native of Clark County. The Rev. R. R. Doering officiated. Burial was made in Hillside Cemetery there. She died suddenly Friday.
Miss Lawrence was born July 16, 1897, in the Town of York. She was the daughter of the late Melvin and Bertha (Gardner) Lawrence. She attended the old Oriole Hill School and Whitewater College. She was a graduate of the Presbyterian School of Nursing in Chicago, Ill., and had been employed as head nurse in the Platteville hospital for several years.
For many years she worked in Wisconsin General Hospital, Madison, where she worked Friday. An hour after finishing work she suffered a fatal attack.
She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Platteville.
A brother, Louis Lawrence of East Moline, Ill, is her only immediate survivor.
Relatives from this area attending the services were: Mrs. Harmon Huntley, Mrs. Ruth Keller, Mrs. Fern Vandeberg and Mrs. Ed Voight, all of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Lawrence of Granton; Horace Lawrence of Marshfield and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Heiking and nephew of Loyal.
