Columbia (27 December 1962)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kolbrak and Larry of Altoona and Mrs. Frieda Baumel of Eau Claire were Sunday visitors at the John Sollberger, Ward Lockman and George Poertner homes.

 

Elmer Hoesly and son, John of Marshfield were Saturday visitors at the John and William Sollberger homes.

 

Ronald Poertner arrived home from Missoula, Mont. Friday evening to spend the holidays with his parents, the George Poertners. Ronald is a first year student at the University of Montana.

 

Mrs. Al Sollberger of Neillsville was a Saturday visitor at the Ward Lockman home.  John Putz visited there Friday evening.

 

Clifford Winter has returned home from Memorial Hospital following surgery and is improving.  Wilson Bohnhoff visited at the Winter home Sunday afternoon.

 

Mrs. Bertha Sherman and Harvey of Merrillan were Christmas day guests at the William Sollberger home.

 

John Putz visited the William Rieders Sunday evening.

 

A black bear was seen in the Town of Dewhurst east of Bruce Mound last week. (I recall this incident. Dmk)
