Bolling, Mr. & Mrs. C.O. #2 (Gold - 29 APR 1947)
The golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. C.O. Bolling, announcement of which was made in a previous issue of the Enterprise, was happily celebrated April 29th, 1947, at the Old Peoples Rest Home, where they now reside in Woodstock, Ill., according to a write-up in the Woodstock Sentinel. Open house was held at the home on Sunday afternoon, and a family reunion was held at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Nettie Perkins of Garden Prairie, on Tuesday. All of their children and their families were present on this occasion, excepting their son, Lt. Com. W.W. Bolling, who was on the way home from Honolulu.
Mr. Bolling is a native of Norway, born Dec. 28, 1866, and Mrs. Bolling, who was Edith Franklin, was born at Osseo, July 7, 1872. They were married in Osseo on April 29, 1897, and resided there in the early years of their married life. For many years Mr. and Mrs. Bolling were much respected members of this community. They have been at the home for three years.
