Mr. and Mrs. T.M. Curran of Bangor were visitors at the J. Art Johnson home last Friday.
Mrs. Fred Trachsel left Sunday to attend a four day state assembly of Rebekah Lodges at Oshkosh. She is the delegate from the local lodge.
Mr. and Mrs. William W. Dignin announce the arrival of a son, William Wayne Dignin Jr., born May 22, in the Krohn Hospital, B.R. Falls; weight 7 lbs. 15 ¼ oz.
Misses Ruth Kelsh and Peggy Theiler left Tuesday morning by train for Choteau, Mont, where they will be employed during the vacation months at the Allen Dude Ranch, which is located in the Rocky Mountains. Enroute they plan to stop at Great Falls for a brief stay with some of Miss Kelsh’s relatives.
Monday afternoon, Rev. and Mrs. Carl Fiedler of Viroqua and Rev. and Mrs. C.F. Klein of La Farge, were brief callers in town while on the way to spend a few days in Augusta. Mr. Klein, who was located here (Humbird, Clark Co., Wis.) twenty years ago as Free Methodist pastor, has retired from the ministry, and is in construction work. At present he is foreman of the building of a new $56,000 theatre building in La Farge. He reports that his son, Francis, is with the border patrol in southern Texas. Keith is on the isle of Guam. Paul has just enlisted in the navy, is at Great Lakes; two of the daughters reside at Wauzeka and one at Wis. Rapids. All the daughters of the family are married.
