Theiler at the piano.  Pallbearers were Percy Bemis, Willard Putman, Russel O’Leary, Clem Trader, Clarence Hardwick, and Carl Greub.  Burial was in Mentor Cemetery.

Lydia Banker, the last survivor of a family of sons and daughters born to Henry and Elenore (Cook) Banker, was born at the family home in Vernon County August 16, 1859, and was 87 years, 10 months and 17 days in age at the time of her death.

She came when a young woman with the family to this vicinity, they settling on a farm east of the village (Humbird, Clark Co.).  For a number of years previous to her marriage to Joseph DeLong on June 30, 1895, she was employed in the homes and in the store of E.A. Freeman and G.W. Crandell.

Their home for many years after her marriage was on a farm east of town.  Mrs. DeLong was mother of two sons, William of Hilton, N.Y., and Earl of Two Rivers; and one daughter, Elenore, now Mrs. John Burchell of this village, who, with a number of grandchildren, survive her.  Mr. DeLong passed away in 1942.

For twenty-four years her home has been with her daughter, part of which time was spent in Florida.  Four months ago she was taken to the Neillsville Hospital for treatment, and then to the nursing home, where she passed away.
