Aumann, Anna Bertha (31 December 1908 - 11 July 2011)

 

Anna Aumann, 102, of Neillsville was called home to heaven Monday, July 11, 2011, at the Neillsville Care and Rehabilitation Center.

 

Anna Bertha Aumann was born Dec. 31, 1908, in the Town of Grant, Clark County, the daughter of Gustave and Anna (Kupke) Reich.  She attended school in Granton.  She was united in marriage to Claude Aumann Nov. 2, 1930. During their married life, they farmed at several locations mostly in Clark County.  Claude died in 1971, and Anna then worked several jobs off the farm, including cooking for Kurt Marg and for many years as a cleaning lady at the nursing home in Neillsville until her retirement. 

 

Anna was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville.  She loved tending to her garden and walking to town every day to visit friends.

 

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Ann Aumann of Neillsville; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Martha Durst of Madison.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Claude; two sons, Donald and Marvin; a grandson, Mark; six brothers and two sisters.

 

Funeral services for Anna will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2011, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville.  Pastor Timothy Biebert will officiate.  Music will be provided by Judy Trunkel, organist, and Jacob Aumann, soloist.  Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

 

Serving as casketbearers will be Matthew, Andrew, Jacob, Aaron, Billy Joe and Michael Aumann.
