Reams, Cecil (27 August 1910 - 18 December 1962)

 

Cecil Reams, 52, of Route 2, Neillsville, died suddenly Tuesday evening at his home, in Pine Valley.  Funeral arrangements are incomplete and being made by the Georgas Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Cecil Reams, 52, of Rt. 2, Neillsville, were held Friday morning from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. The Rev. Fr. Bernard T. Kelly officiated, and burial was made in the parish cemetery.

 

Mr. Reams who died, December 18 at his home, was born August 27, 1910, in Waucoma, Ia., the son of George and Caroline (Nauertz) Reams.  He was engaged in farming and had a milk route.  He was married September 24, 1936, to the former Elizabeth Stegner in Neillsville.

 

He is survived by his wife and nine children: Mrs. John (Yvonne) Cray of Sikeston, Mo.; Mrs. Thomas (Elaine) Cheney of Kenosha; Mrs. Richard (Barbara) Polawascyzk of Chicago, Ill.; Cecil Reams, Jr. of East Grand Forks, Minn.; Francis Reams of Woodstock, Ill.; Sandra, Dianne, Veronica and James, all at home. Other survivors include his mother, Mrs. Caroline Reams of Neillsville; a sister, Mrs. John (Eva) Mulroyan of Maywood, Ill.; a brother Merle Reams of Kenosha; and four grandchildren.

 

A rosary service was held December 20 at the Georgas Funeral home.

 

Pallbearers were: Joe Kammerer, Leonard Kapelush, Robert Opelt, Byno Lloyd, Ernest Mohr and Ben Vitallo.

 

People from away attending the service were: Mr. and Mrs. John Cray, Sikeston, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Cheney, Kenosha; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Polawascyzk of Chicago; Cecil Reams, Jr., East Grand Forks, Minn.; Francis Reams of Woodstock, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. John Mulroyan, son and daughter, of Maywood, Ill.; Mrs. Caroline Reams, Maywood, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Merle Reams of Kenosha; Mr. and Mrs. Donald W. Stegner and daughter, Chicago; Mrs. Connie Stegner, Myron P. Nauertz and Holdie C. Nolen, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Melchoir Budde of Arpin.
