Blackman, Clifford Howard (31 October 1896 - 19 December 1962)

 

Funeral services for Clifford Howard Blackman, 66, were held December 22 from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. Lloyd Mauer of the Methodist Church officiated and burial was made in the Town of Grant Cemetery.  Mr. Blackman died December 19, in a Marshfield hospital.

 

Mr. Blackman was born October 31, 1896, on the farm in the Town of Grant which had been his home all his life.  He attended the Reed School and was graduated in 1916 from Neillsville High School.  He farmed the home farm and was school clerk for several years.  On April 28, 1919 he was married to the former Nina Selves.

 

He is survived by his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Woodford of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Gust (Sadie) Rudeen of Long Beach, Calif.; and a brother, Robert Blackman of Ft. Morgan, Colo.

 

Pallbearers were: Henry Dahnert, Frank Scholtz, A. C. Janke, Lewis Scholtz, Victor and Clarion Counsell.

 

"Good Night and Good Morning" and "Sweet Hour of Prayer" were sung by Wilfred B. Galstad, accompanied by Miss Kathleen Galstad.

Howard, Mr. and Mrs. William Vine, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Vine, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Selves and family, Mr. and Mrs. Theamore Vine, Mr. and Mrs. William Buddinger, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Vine, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hughes, all of the Granton area; Mrs. Millard Chadwick of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Milford Rowe of the Town of York.
