Svetlik, Anthony C. "Tony" (22 DEC 1914 - 17 JUL 2011)
Anthony "Tony" C. Svetlik, 96, of Neillsville died Sunday, July 17,
2011, at Memorial Medical Center, Neillsville.
Anthony Charles Svetlik was born Dec. 22, 1914, in Cadott to Frank
and Mary (Sedlacek) Svetlik. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps July
22, 1941, and served in World War II. He married Ann Blumenthaler
Nov. 10, 1945, at the Topeka Army Air Base. He was honorably
discharged on December 3, 1945. The couple moved to Neillsville,
where he worked as a mechanic, body repair man and later in his
career as a salesman for the Svetlik Ford Motor Co. He retired in
1978.
He is survived by his wife, Ann M. Svetlik, five children, Kathleen
(George) Lewis of Roseburg, Ore., Barbara (Thomas) Dornbach of
Pacific Grove, Calif., Ronald Svetlik of Paicines, Calif., Toni
(Rick) Sturtz of Neillsville and Victoria (Daniel) Busby of
Stillwater, Minn., six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one
sister, Carolyne Lohr of East Troy and a brother, Thomas (Patricia)
Svetlik of Gillette, Wyo.
A memorial service for Tony will be held at a later date.
