Mrs. Nellie Blackwelder, Grand Forks, N. D., and O. D. Poulton, Litchfield, Ill., were married in The Methodist Church at Breckenridge, Minn., August 29. at 8:30
Their attendants were Mr. Poulton’s son and Mrs. Blackwelder’s daughter, Mr. and Mrs. M. F.Poulton of Wahpeton, North Dakota. Children of the M. F. Poultons, Ruth and Jimmy, were present for the ceremony.
Following a wedding breakfast at Wahpeton, Mr. and Mrs. Poulton left for Litchfield, Illinois, where they will make their home. A dinner at the home of Mr. Poulton’s son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas McPherson, Litchfield Thursday evening, honored the couple.
Mrs. Poulton was formerly of Litchfield. She had also lived at St. Louis and Hudson and for the past three years has been a house mother at the University of North Dakota at Grand Forks.
Mr. Poulton was stationed in Loyal for 38 years of his 40 years service as Soo Line railway station agent. Upon his retirement nine years ago, he moved to Litchfield where he is now a bookkeeper at the tire service operated by Douglas McPherson.
