Vogel. George (18 SEPT 1884-SEPT 1956)
George Vogel, who would have been seventy-two years of this month, died at a Veterans’ Hospital in Minneapolis Monday afternoon. He had not been well for a few years. A heart ailment caused his death. He was taken to the hospital last Friday.
He was born at Hewitt, September 18, 1884. When a boy, he came to Loyal with his parents. He received his education in the public school of Loyal. He was a veteran of World War 1.
Funeral services were held, with military rites, will be conducted at Myre’s Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Thursday. Father King will officiate and burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery.
He is survived by three brothers, Joe Vogel of Milwaukee, Matt Vogel of Loyal, and Louie Vogel of Greenwood, and by three sisters, Mrs. William (Maggie) Welsh, Wibaux, Mont., Mrs. Kate Pope, Loyal, and Mrs. Harry (Carrie) Robinson, Hamilton, Mont. He was one of a family of 18 children. Nine brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
